Density heatmap

Toggle the heatmap from the bottom toolbar. The 2D grid colors stitch concentration:

• Green — safe density
• Yellow — caution
• Red — tear risk

Repair

Tools → Density Repair scans for hot cells and removes redundant stitches without changing the visual fill. The op preserves the look but reduces needle penetrations by typically 8–15%.

When to use

• Before stitching on stretchy or thin fabrics (jersey, organza, lightweight twill)
• When importing a design from an unknown digitizer
• Anywhere your samples have come back with puckering
