Lenticular Terms of Use

Last updated: [release day, to be set when Lenticular is published]

These terms apply to the Lenticular app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android, and to the Lenticular account, cloud sync and subscriptions (together, "Lenticular"). By using Lenticular, you agree to them. How we handle your data is described in the Lenticular Privacy Policy: https://mavenwright.com/en/lenticular/privacy.

1. Who we are

Lenticular is provided by MavenWright Studio ("we", "us"), Istanbul, Türkiye. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. What Lenticular is

Lenticular turns your photos into lenticular cards: flip cards, short animations and 3D pictures that change as you tilt them. You print a card on your own printer and put a lenticular lens sheet on it.

Lenticular works without an account. If you sign in with Google or Apple, your cards, lens profiles and printer settings are synced between your devices, and your plan works on all of them.

3. The App Store and Google Play

If you got Lenticular from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA) applies to your use of the app together with these terms: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. Where the two differ, the Standard EULA prevails for the app you got from the App Store.

If you got Lenticular from Google Play, Google Play's Terms of Service apply to your purchases there.

4. Your account

An account is optional. You open one by signing in with Google or Apple; one account is for one person. Keep your Google or Apple account secure: anyone who can sign in with it can open your Lenticular account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Lenticular is not directed at children under 13. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to buy a subscription.

5. Plans

Lenticular has three plans:

  • Free: every flow, the virtual lens preview, the pitch test, GIF sharing, PDF export with a light watermark up to A4, and cloud sync.
  • Plus: everything in Free, PDF export without the watermark and 3D from a single photo.
  • Pro: everything in Plus, and the print shop tools.

What each plan includes is shown in the app before you buy.

6. Subscriptions and renewal

  • Plus and Pro are auto-renewing subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly. The price and the period are shown before you confirm the purchase.
  • Plans are sold in the App Store and Google Play. Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
  • A subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. In the App Store, the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
  • We may change prices. A new price applies from your next renewal, and you are told before it applies where the store's rules or the law require it.

7. Your plan and your account

When you are signed in, your Plus or Pro plan belongs to your Lenticular account and works on every device where you sign in to that account, on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android alike. Without an account, a plan bought in the App Store works on your devices that use the same Apple Account, and a plan bought in Google Play on your Android devices that use the same Google account; Restore purchases in the app brings it back on a new device.

8. Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time:

  • App Store: in your App Store account settings (on iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions).
  • Google Play: in Google Play, under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

After you cancel, your plan stays until the end of the period you have paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, and for Google Play purchases by Google, under their own rules.

9. Your photos and cards

Your photos and the cards you make are yours. You must have the right to use the photos you put into Lenticular, including, where the law requires it, the permission of the people in them.

When you use cloud sync, you allow us to store, copy and transfer your cards and their files only as far as needed to keep them in your account and on your devices. We do not use them for anything else, we do not use them to train AI models, and we do not sell them. This permission ends when you delete them or your account, as the Privacy Policy describes.

10. Print results

The preview in the app simulates a lens; it does not guarantee how a print will look. How a card turns out depends on your printer, ink and paper, on the lens sheet and its LPI, on the pitch test and calibration, on how the sheet is aligned and laminated, and on the light it is seen in. We do not guarantee print results and are not responsible for the paper, ink or lens sheets you use. Run the pitch test and a small test print before you print many cards or use expensive materials.

3D from a single photo is estimated by an AI model and can get depth wrong. Check the preview before you print.

The assistant's answers and the changes it makes come from an AI model and can be wrong. Check the card before you print it.

11. Fair and lawful use

You agree not to:

  • use Lenticular to break the law or to infringe other people's rights, such as copyright, trademarks, privacy or the right to their own image;
  • make or store content that is illegal, that sexually exploits minors, or that harasses or threatens people;
  • use cloud sync to store anything other than your Lenticular cards, or try to get around its storage limit;
  • get around the subscription checks, or resell access to Lenticular or its paid features;
  • interfere with the service, probe it for weaknesses, or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it.

12. Cloud sync and availability

Cloud storage has a limit per account. We aim to keep the service available but cannot promise that it will be uninterrupted. Your cards are also kept on your devices, so they stay usable without the service.

We keep improving Lenticular and may change or remove features. If we ever stop cloud sync, we will tell you in the app at least 30 days before.

13. Our software

Lenticular, its code and design, and the Lenticular and MavenWright names belong to MavenWright Studio. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app under these terms (and, for the App Store app, the Standard EULA). We may end it if you seriously break these terms.

14. Liability

Lenticular is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses or for the cost of materials used for printing, and our total liability for any claim about Lenticular is limited to the greater of US$200 or what you paid for Lenticular in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection or other mandatory law.

15. Closing your account

You can stop using Lenticular and delete your account at any time: in the app under Settings → Account → Delete account, or as described at https://mavenwright.com/en/lenticular/privacy#delete-account. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms; if we do, we will tell you why. Cards on your devices stay there.

16. Changes to these terms

We post changes here and update the date at the top. If a change matters to you, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Lenticular after that, the new terms apply.

17. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Consumers may apply to the consumer arbitration committees (Tüketici Hakem Heyetleri) and consumer courts within the limits set by law. Otherwise, the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul have jurisdiction. If you live in the EU or another country, you keep the protections of your country's consumer law that cannot be set aside by contract.
