Do male and female students differ in exam anxiety? I think the data isn't normally distributed.

Privacy
Your raw data stays on your computer
Thesis data is often personal data. Coeffy is built so that the AI never sees a single row.
No rows leave your computer
The AI gets variable names, labels and the result tables. It has no way to ask for individual cases.
Small cells are hidden
Any count under 5 is hidden before a table is sent. You can raise that threshold, never lower it.
Personal data is locked
Columns that look like national ID numbers, phone numbers, emails or IBANs are locked automatically. A locked variable can't be used in any analysis until you unlock it.
Strict mode
Turn it on and even variable names go out as V1, V2, V3.

FAQ
Questions students ask
Does Coeffy run the analysis on my behalf?
No. You ask the question and you decide which test to use; the analysis runs in your own SPSS on your own data. Coeffy explains why a test fits, where the assumptions stand and what the output says. Interpreting the findings and writing the discussion is your work, and with academic mode on Coeffy won't draft those parts.
Where does my data go?
Your data file and its rows stay on your computer. The AI receives variable names, labels and the result tables, with counts under 5 hidden and columns that may hold personal data locked. Coeffy keeps a log of everything sent, which you can read in the app.
I don't have SPSS. Can I still use Coeffy?
No. Coeffy works with your own licensed IBM SPSS Statistics and doesn't include or sell SPSS. Ask your university's IT office: many universities provide a campus license.
Does my SPSS version matter?
Live mode: Verified so far on Mac with IBM SPSS Statistics 32; checks on other versions are in progress. On SPSS 29 to 31.0.1 a known IBM issue stops live mode. On those versions Coeffy opens the syntax in your SPSS syntax window, you press Run, and it still explains the result.
What is a credit, and when is one used?
One credit is one analysis that runs in your SPSS. If the analysis fails, the credit is returned. Choosing a test, asking about the output and getting explanations don't use credits, within a daily fair-use limit.
Monthly or 6 months: what's the difference?
The monthly subscription gives 50 credits each month and you can cancel any time; unused credits don't roll over. The 6-month plan is a one-off payment for 250 credits, valid for 6 months, with no auto-renewal. A 100-credit top-up can be bought only while one of these plans is active.
How do I pay?
Buy the monthly or 6-month plan with the “Buy” button on this page, and top-ups inside the app. The checkout page is run by Polar, our merchant of record, and your receipt comes from Polar. The price is set for the country you're in.
How do I tell my supervisor I used AI?
Coeffy logs everything sent to the AI and prepares an AI-use statement from that log: which tool, on which dates, at which stage of the work. You check it and add it to your work yourself. Make sure it follows your institution's rules.
How do I cancel, and can I get a refund?
You can cancel the subscription from “Manage subscription” in the app; your credits stay usable until the end of the paid period. For refunds, see the refund policy.
