BX font import

StitchKit reads .bx (Embrilliance) embroidery fonts and uses them like system fonts in the Lettering tool.

Bulk import

Library → Fonts → Import .bx files… opens a multi-select picker. Drop a folder, the importer scans recursively.

If you have Embrilliance installed, StitchKit auto-detects the install path on first launch and offers a one-click import of every font it ships.

Preview before installing

The import dialog shows a card per font with sample glyphs at three sizes (10mm / 25mm / 50mm). Skip fonts that don't render cleanly at your target size before they clutter the library.

Using imported fonts

In the Lettering tool, BX fonts appear in the same dropdown as system fonts, marked with a BX chip. They support the same four fill modes (outline, tatami, satin, motif).

Notes

  • BX fonts are pre-digitized — fills are baked in. Density adjustments apply to the satin/tatami underlay, not the glyph itself.
  • Embrilliance Essentials and Express commercial-use terms apply to the fonts you import; StitchKit doesn't redistribute them.
