Stitch Timeline (Playback)

Below the editor canvas is a timeline that animates the order in which your design is stitched. This is the best way to see what will happen on the machine before it does: the stitches appear in sequence, and you can see where the color changes and jumps occur. The timeline only shows when a design is open.

  1. Play / Pause — Use the play/pause button to start and stop the stitch-out animation.
  2. Scrub — Drag the progress bar to jump to any point in the design (a specific stitch); the stitches up to that point are shown.
  3. Speed (stitches per second) — Set how many stitches play back per second; run through large designs fast, and fine detail slow.

Tip — Use it together with the preview modes (Flat / Realistic / Photoreal): if you play it back in Realistic mode, you'll see how the threads build up realistically.
